Goiter
A goiter is an abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland. It may develop when the thyroid produces too much, too little, or a normal amount of hormone. Goiters can be caused by iodine deficiency, autoimmune conditions, or nodular growths. While some goiters are asymptomatic, larger goiters can lead to visible swelling in the neck and difficulty breathing or swallowing. Graves' Disease
Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system mistakenly stimulates the thyroid to produce excessive thyroid hormones, resulting in hyperthyroidism. It often leads to anxiety, weight loss, tremors, palpitations, and heat intolerance. In some cases, it can also affect the eyes, causing bulging or irritation.
